Suppliers are required to post the Fifth & Pacific Companies, Inc. Workplace Standards in the workers' native language at all factories where our merchandise is being made. Realizing that is not enough, over the years we have utilized various avenues to educate workers about our Standards and their rights. Examples include creating cartoon booklets to better illustrate the standards and involving non governmental organizations to train workers.

The Standards along with detailed explanations of each standard are included on our Suppliers' Manual website. All new suppliers must acknowledge our standards and agree to our monitoring requirements. Preproduction audits are conducted for any new factories being added to our roster. Since the signing of a major agency agreement with Li & Fung, the Fifth & Pacific Companies Compliance Team and the Li & Fung Compliance team has met jointly with suppliers in person and via teleconferencing to review our Standards and monitoring requirements. Our Internal Compliance Team will continue to collaborate with the Li & Fung Compliance Team on auditing and training.

We understand that factories may not fully comply with all of our Standards at all times, however management must be willing to commit to improving in areas where we find non-compliance. If there is a commitment and willingness, barring any zero tolerance issues such as employing underage workers or having life-threatening health and safety issues, we will work with a supplier on remediation and improvement.
